Pour ceux qui savent parler francais:

La Fédération Francaise de Gymnastique présente sur son site Internet un nouveau magazine vidéo nommé “i-Gym Mag”.

Dans la dernière édition du magazine, il y a entre autres un reportage sur Marine Petit, Delphine Ledoux (Gymnastique Rythmique) et Benoît Caranobe, qui fait un interview avec soi-même – très drôle !

En plus, il y a une bonne médiatheque avec des videos et des photos des évènements importantes – nationaux et internationaux – des années 2007 – 2009.

The French Gymnastics Federation presents on their homepage a new video-magazine called “i-Gym Mag”.

In the latest edition, there´s among others a report about Marine Petit, Delphine Ledoux (rhythmic gymnastics) and  Benoit Caranobe is interviewing himself – very funny (but it´s only in French available)!

In addition, you can watch videos and photos from important national and international events and competitions in the years 2007 – 2009.

Shawn Johnson´s floor routine from the team finals at the 2007 World Championships really deserves to be watched several times.

She nails every landing, she does five difficult tumbling passes without getting tired and waiting in the corner in order to take a deep breath, she gives us some happy smiles and I like her music and the dance she shows!

Acro-Cup in … Albershausen

I didn´t know where the small village Albershausen (4500 inhabitants) is located in Germany before Google Maps showed me – it´s anywhere next to Stuttgart.

The TSGV 1896 Albershausen managed to host an international competition in acrobatic gymnastics for the 6th time!

The FIG announced the competition on their website.

“The 6th edition of the ACRO Cup Albershausen is coming up soon! Delegations from 12 different nations will meet for this biannual event from April 16 – 19, 2009 in the small southwestern town of Albershausen, near Stuttgart in Germany.

The popularity of this tournament has drastically increased, and in the world of Acrobatic Gymnastics ‘Albershausen’ has become synonymous with a top international event.

Age Group, Junior and Senior acrobats from England, Russia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, USA, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the host country will compete in a full range of Acrobatic Gymnastics categories. King Edmunds Club Bristol, Spelthorne Elite Acrobatic Club (both GBR) and Zwolle (NED) are sending the greatest number of participants to Albershausen, whereas Ximnasia Club Pontevedra will represent Spain for the first time ever at the ACRO Cup. Portugal’s Ginasiaclub Villacondense and the US delegation have returned after having debuted in Albershausen in 2005 and 1999 respectively.”
