The All Around posted the following news. I tried to find the original source under the added external link (DeutscherTurnerbund), but unfortunately I didn´t find the German article
.
“The German team for the upcoming dual meet against the USA in Mülheim, Germany was named yesterday. [...] Bui and Brinker will be joined by first year senior Elisabeth Seitz (TG Mannheim), who missed the European Championships due to an elbow injury. “Seitz has been looking very strong lately,” head coach Ulla Koch said. [...] 17-year-old Susann Herbst (TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf) is the fourth senior on the team. Koch gave the last two spots to juniors – Katja Roll (1995) and Desiree Baumert (1995), both of whom hail from the TG Söllingen. [...] The competition against the reigning world champions USA is scheduled for 2 May 2009 in the RWE Rhein-Ruhr-Sporthalle. The US team has not been named yet. Both teams will hold a joint training camp in Bergisch Gladbach near Cologne prior to the competition.”

Do you happen to know the dates for this meet or for any of the Bundesliga events? I’m going to be in Belgium June 30-July 5 and am staying until July 12th for travel, I wouldnt mind coming to a meet!

This meet already takes place on May, 2nd. The second Bundesliga event for the women happens on June, 13 in Eggenstein (near Karlsruhe or Stuttgart), the third event is in October. The men Bundesliga doesn´t have a meet in the time, in which you will be here, too.

Darn! Do you know if any other meets will be happening then?

I did a little research, but it seems as if all gymnastics federations (germany, belgium, netherlands & france) don´t have any competitions in the time you are here… If I´ll find another meet, I´ll send you a message

Thank you!
There is apparently the Mediterranean Games going on while I’m there but it’s in southern Italy and I’m not sure I want to travel that far, I’d definitely have to fly to Rome and then catch a train, so…yeah. It is an option though.
