The Tournament of Masters has started in Cottbus, Germany, on Friday. So far, 231 gymnasts from 48 countries will compete for altogether 10 medals, 25.000 CHF prize money (2.500 per final) and Challenger Cup points at the first FIG Challenger Cup this year. This tournament always has been a big competition with lots of different nations, but this time it’s just unbelievable. Qualifications started today at 10 a.m. until approximately 10 p.m.
Gymnasts to watch out for are Ashleigh Brennan and Larissa Miller (AUS), Anysia Unick (CAN), Tan Sixin (CHN), Elisabeth Seitz and Oksana Chusovitina (GER), Stefani Bismpikou and Vasiliki Millousi (GRE), Natsumi Sasada (JPN), Celine van Gerner (NED), Marta Pihan-Kulesza (POL) – she’s the covergirl, all four Russians Christina Kruglikova, Diana Sapronova, Ekaterina Kurbatova and Yulia Belokobylskaya, Jennifer Khwela (RSA), Adela Sajn (SLO) – what leo will she wear?, Veronica Wagner (SWE), Darya Elizarova (UZB) and more…
