The second FIG Challenger Cup will take place in Doha, Qatar, on March 30th – April 1st. Only one week before the European Championships not too many European countries will participate. Only 25 female and 55 male gymnasts compete in the event (231 athletes competed in Cottbus). As there are not as many gymnasts as in Cottbus, they might stick to the new rules and actually reduce the finalists to four per apparatus.
Gymnasts who confirmed their participation are Ashleigh Brennan and Larissa Miller (AUS), Gaelle Mys (BEL) Daniele Hypolito (BRA), Madeline Gardiner (CAN), Tan Sixin and Yao Jinnan (CHN) among others.
