FIG modifies World Cup-Series

The FIG plans to reduce so-called “A-competitions” or “A-World Cups” to five or six locations per year, where only 12 to 18 gymnasts per apparatus (& only one per country) are allowed to perform. Thereby meets will be more compact and shorter.

But on so-called “B-competitions” or “B-World Cups”, there will be no restrictions.

The proposed changes by the newly formed FIG-competitions-commission could become effective in the World Cup-Series 2011 after the FIG-executive has agreed.
