2nd Pre-Olympic Youth Cup

May 12, 2009

170 athletes from seven nations will attend on 23 – 24 May the Pre-Olympic Youth Cup 2009 in Bergisch-Gladbach, GER. Australia, Russia, Austria, Ecuador, Egypt, Netherlands and Suisse send gymnasts to the big meet, but most of the girls will come from different German clubs. The girls compete in three categories – age class 12/13, age class 14/15 and elite. Oksana Chusovitina will be the patroness of the event.

Last year, Larisa Iordache (ROM) won the age class 12/13, Elisabeth Seitz (GER) the age class 14/15 and Susann Herbst (GER) the elite.

Gymnastics. Bundesliga. Watch.

In my opinion, this promotion for the second meet of the German Bundesliga (13-14 June in Eggenstein, GER) looks different, but not in a bad way!

Desirée Baumert, Maike and her younger sister Katja Roll (from left to right, TG Karlsruhe-Söllingen) make me wanna watch the competition. Keep it up, girls!

(positions after the first meet: 1. Stuttgart, 2. Chemnitz, 3. Karlsruhe, 4. Mannheim, 5. Köln, 6. Hoffnungsthal, 7. Leipzig, 8. Großburgwedel – click here for more details)
