Wieber knows how to perform

June 2, 2010

Surprise, surprise! I never thought I’d say this, but I actually like Jordyn Wieber’s floor routine. (and not only because of the difficulty)

Look at her new choreography & music from the Pacific Rim Championships 2010. I’d say it’s not one of my favourite routines but definitely an improvement from last year. There are moments in which her arm or leg movements fit exactly to the music and her dance near the floor isn’t bad either.

The routine looks even better on the NBC coverage (at the end of part 5).

Juraki – Fit to Flex

June 2, 2010

Remember this post about a new gymnastics apparatus – Juraki – Fit to Fly – launched by Reebok in corporation with Cirque du Soleil?

This year, Reebok invented another “apparatus” with Cirque du Soleil: Juraki – Fit to Flex

“Following the success of JUKARI Fit to Fly, Reebok and Cirque du Soleil devised another innovative workout which harnesses the freedom of movement – JUKARI Fit to Flex. The class is specially designed to improve your flexibility by increasing joint mobility and stability while boosting muscle endurance and core strength in a new, dynamic way, letting you experience the joy of movement.” (Reebok)

It’s a long ribbon with which you can perform moves like “Tic Toc to Giant”, “Ole Arriba” or “Pitch and Release”. I don’t know…

By the way: You can shop a whole Cirque du Soleil collection for Reebok.
