Watch Hambüchen on his long way back…

Recently I reported about Fabian Hambüchen‘s recovery from his surgery in January after he tore his achilles tendon in training. Now you can watch a video (German), in which he does some physiotherapeutic exercises and talks a bit about his past injuries (injured finger in Beijing, torn ligament in London). He’ll be in Berlin for the Europeans as an expert on tv. Attending doctor Johannes Peil (who also treats F1 champion Michael Schuhmacher) talks a bit about the healing process, which seems to go well, so far.

Watch it on YouTube (embedding isn’t possible).

Does anyone know why he has to wear white tights on his healthy leg?

I prefer to see him in action – like in this spot for the ‘Deutsche Sporthilfe’ (which supports German elite athletes financially):

Or doing a triple back or a double double layout or other amazing things (in training 2009).
