Congratulations, Girls, Chuso and Boy(s)!

Wow, Germany not only qualified a men’s team but also a women’s team directly to the Olympics! When I read the news I couldn’t believe it at first! Congratulations, Elisabeth Seitz, Nadine Jarosch, Kim Bui, Oksana Chusovitina, Pia Tolle and Lisa-Katharina Hill!! The USA, Russia, China, Romania, Japan and Germany were the only countries who managed to place with both teams within the top eight. Elisabeth Seitz and Nadine Jarosch both had a phenomenal all-around competition – Seitz fought for a 11th place after hitting her head on bars and Jarosch earned more than 56 points for the first time!

And also of course congratulations to Philipp Boy, Marcel Nguyen, Fabian Hambüchen, Eugen Spiridonov, Sebastian Krimmer and Thomas Taranu!! But especially to the Vice-World Champion Philipp Boy! In a World in which Kohei Uchimura rules, silver is as good as gold!

Last but not least congratulations to Oksana Chusovitina! Second place in vault finals is simply fantastic.

The Germans also qualified their RG team directly to the OGs… good job, girls!

Oh yes, another fantastic achievement!! Though I’ve been a little disappointed about Jana Berezko-Marggrander’s last-minute drop-out of the World Championships. She might have placed in the top 15 and qualified directly…
