Men’s Pommel Horse is not exactly my favourite event to watch. But Krisztian Berki (HUN) delivered not only an incredible difficult routine at the European Championships EFs, held today (27th May 2012) in Montpellier, he’s extremely elegant, too. Look at his long (white) legs doing those flares!

He defeated Louis Smith (GBR) with 15.985 to 15.775 – same D-Score but better execution (9.058 compared to Smith’s 8.875). Harutyum Merdinyan (ARM) came third with 15.300 (6.4).

A couple of weeks ago, Spelbound performed to “A Moment like this” an Olympics-inspired routine. As always, they had excellent execution and good choreography. Watch it to the very end!

Once again, I was stunned by the artistry in acrobatic gymnastics. And I guess, this won’t be the last time. Here we have the newly crowned World Champions in acrobatic gymnastics, who even defeated veterans Revan Gurgendize and Tatiana Okulova from Russia at this years Worlds in Orlando.

As he writes, his floor and vault aren’t quite there yet. But still, an Amanar/Shewfelt with 6.6 D-Score might not be enough in a field where other top-all-arounders have 7.0 vaults.
